One of my favorite Christmas traditions is the search for the BEST Christmas tree. We drove out to the country, drove by farms with horses, saw chickens in someone’s front yard, passsed through small towns with quaint downtowns, and saw pretty, old white farmhouses trimmed with green garlands and red bows.  I LOVE the country. At last we came to the tree farm! Here’s where the hunt begins…

And we hunted, and discussed the merits of this tree and that one.

And we laughed at each other.

And we played hide from the camera.

After much deliberations we decided on a tree!  Alex did the honors of cutting it down.

And then our tree hunting morning took a little twist.

We did cart wheels right there in the field….yes, that we did.

Alex is our best cart wheeler.

Cassie’s turn.

And because cart wheels in the middle of the Christmas tree farm isn’t crazy enough we did this….

I can jump over that tree. Watch!

Well, so can I and I can make a goofy face at the same time.

I’m better at being a spectator.

Tree hunting brings families together. 🙂

Kids don’t like seeing their parents kiss, or at least that is what they want us to think.

And that is how our tree hunting expedition played out this year.  Fun times in the country! 🙂
